Who We Are
OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach is a UK and Nigerian faith-based charity supporting children and young people with disabilities (0–25 years) and the families who care for them to live abundantly.
Through family support, healthcare access, advocacy and strategic partnerships, we help families navigate challenges with dignity and resilience while creating inclusive opportunities for children and young people to thrive.
While our faith shapes our ethos, OAKonsult is not faith-restrictive. Families are welcome regardless of religion, culture or background.
What The Bridge Is
The Bridge is OAKonsult’s planned family support and early intervention centre in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. It will help families navigate healthcare, access practical support and connect with inclusive communities.
Through The Bridge, OAKonsult is laying the groundwork for OAK Centre Prime, its long-term vision for a centre of excellence serving children and young people with disabilities across Nigeria and beyond.
The current proposed drawings include a reception and waiting area, workshop and therapy rooms, seminar and respite spaces, a wet room, accessible toilets, a new ramp and inclusive outdoor play areas. These remain proposed design features, not completed facilities. They may change as the project develops.
Where We Are Now
By the grace of God, OAK Centre Prime is no longer just a vision. The 35-acre site has been secured, the foundation has been laid, and construction planning is underway towards our goal of opening OAK Centre Prime in 2030.
Our focus now is not on waiting for buildings to be completed, but on beginning to build the model that will eventually operate from the Centre.

What This Will Achieve
This phase allows us to begin demonstrating the OAK Centre Prime model before the permanent campus is completed.
Over the next four years, the Centre will help us:
- Support families already connected through our outreach work
- Build evidence and measurable outcomes
- Strengthen partnerships with healthcare providers
- Train local caregivers and volunteers
- Refine our service model
- Build a sustainable workforce pipeline for OAK Centre Prime
Launch Timeline
- June – September 2026 Renovation, setup, equipment installation, staffing and training.
- 25 September 2026 Official commissioning of the OAKonsult Outreach and Day Centre alongside our second Medical Outreach Clinic.
- 28 September 2026 Commencement of centre operations.
Investment Required
The estimated cost of establishing the Centre is: ₦37,856,720
This will cover:
- Building renovation and repairs
- Therapy and activity equipment
- Furniture and fittings
- Security and CCTV installation
- Operational setup
- Staff recruitment and training
