Community advocacy that helps families include and support children with disabilities.

Community outreach helps families, volunteers and local leaders understand disability, reduce isolation and respond with practical support. It creates opportunities for conversations, referrals, awareness and inclusion in everyday community life.
These activities connect the wider community with the needs of children and young people with disabilities, while supporting families with dignity and care.
Home and school visits help OAKonsult understand the day-to-day context around each child and family. The visits support inclusion, identify practical needs and help schools and families work together around each child’s development.
The Nigeria media gallery includes school and community visit moments that show this practical outreach in action.

OAKonsult welcomes conversations with parents, carers, volunteers, medical professionals, schools and supporters who want to help children and young people with disabilities thrive.
