On 7 October 2026 we launched the OAK Club, a student-led club for disability awareness and inclusion. Its first chapter is at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso.
Through the club, students will learn about disability, challenge misconceptions and speak up for inclusion on campus. Members will also help at selected OAKonsult outreaches, seminars and workshops, and spend time with people with disabilities and their families.
Our founding members
The first members are medical students. When we met them, we asked them to think beyond the degree they are working towards, to the difference they want to make. Behind every patient is a person, and behind every child with a disability is a family hoping someone will see beyond the condition.
To every student in this first chapter: welcome to the OAK Club.
