About Bunmi

Bunmi Soji-Adeyemo is Chair of Trustees at OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach. The Chair leads our UK board of trustees, which makes sure the charity is well run and keeps its work focused on children, young people and parent carers.

Bunmi is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and non-medical prescriber at a large teaching hospital in London, with more than 20 years’ experience as a nurse and midwife. Qualifications include an MSc in Clinical Dermatology from the University of Hertfordshire, a BSc in Adult Dermatology Nursing and Advanced Skin Assessment from King’s College London, and study in clinical leadership at London South Bank University.

Adult dermatology is Bunmi’s main field. The work has spanned community nursing and nurse-led clinics for systemic treatments, patch testing and phototherapy.

Bunmi chairs the Skin of Colour special interest subgroup of the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) and is the nursing lead for teaching and development at Skin of Colour Training UK. Bunmi has presented at BDNG annual conferences, teaches MSc dermatology students at King’s College London and runs regular teaching for nursing staff, with a focus on inflammatory skin conditions in skin of colour.
