Fundraising & Partnerships Support Volunteer

Help OAKonsult identify suitable funding, coordinate applications and keep a clear fundraising pipeline.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Support the systems behind our fundraising work.

OAKonsult is looking for an organised volunteer to work alongside the CEO on funding research, application coordination and partnership development. You do not need to be an experienced fundraiser: reliability, sound organisation and a willingness to learn matter most.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Research, coordinate and follow through.

You will help identify opportunities that fit OAKonsult’s work, keep application deadlines and follow-up actions visible, and support relationships with potential funders and partners.

OAKonsult already uses a CRM and other working tools to support the role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Practical support from prospecting to stewardship.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Funding pipeline

  • Research grant opportunities, trusts and foundations aligned with OAKonsult’s work.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of funding applications.
  • Maintain the fundraising CRM and funding pipeline.
  • Track deadlines, outcomes and follow-up actions.
  • Help prepare straightforward cases for support from existing organisational material.

PARTNERSHIPS & REPORTING

Build useful relationships.

  • Identify relevant local organisations, businesses and community groups.
  • Assist with funder reporting and stewardship activity.
  • Work with the Impact Storytelling & Evaluation volunteer so applications are supported by clear evidence and impact information.

ESSENTIAL

Skills you will use

  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Basic email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Reliability and comfort with online research.

HELPFUL, NOT REQUIRED

Experience you can build on

  • Fundraising, bid writing or grant applications.
  • CRM systems, partnerships or business development.
  • Volunteering or employment in the charity sector.
