A Legacy of Hope: Help Us Build Oak Centre Prime in Memory of Abigail
In the quiet strength of a young girl who defied the odds, a dream was born—a dream to bring healing, inclusion, and dignity to children and young people living with disabilities in Nigeria.
Her name was Abigail.
In October 2024, Abigail passed away at the age of 16. She had lived with complex medical needs and disability caused by medical negligence when she was just 18 months old. Despite her challenges, she lived a life full of meaning, inspiring all who knew her with her resilience, faith, and light.
Out of her story, OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach was birthed.
And now, in her honour, we are building Oak Centre Prime—a place where children like Abigail will receive the love, care, and opportunities they deserve.
🏗️ What Is Oak Centre Prime?
Oak Centre Prime will be Nigeria’s first holistic disability support centre, located in Oolo Town, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. It will serve over 1,000 children and young people annually, offering:
Inclusive education and therapy
Vocational and life skills training
Emotional, social, and spiritual support
A safe, residential environment for 250 young people
A space for families to find hope and healing
We’ve already secured 35 acres of land. Phase 1 has begun with the groundbreaking scheduled for April 22, 2025. Now, we are stepping into Phase 2—and we need your help.
💛 We’re Raising ₦115 Million (£65,000)
To build this dream into reality, we need to raise ₦115 million / £65,000 for Phase 2. These funds will go towards:
Construction of essential buildings
Equipping therapy and education spaces
Recruiting and training staff
Community engagement and outreach
