ABOUT THE FOUNDER

About Olufunke Adeloye

I am privileged to be the founder of OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach (OAKonsult). My Christian faith is a significant part of my identity and has influenced my role as a Parent Carer. I started working in the disabilities field because of my experience with my youngest daughter, who has complex medical needs and disabilities. With over two decades of combined professional experience in Human Resources and SEND, I have worked in different capacities within third-sector organisations. My work involves supporting families of children and young people and engaging stakeholders across voluntary organisations, Local Authorities, and management in Education, Health, and Social Care Services. I also work with schools in both Mainstream and Specialist Provisions.

I am passionate about helping carers find fulfilment at every stage of their individual journeys. I believe in the inclusion of people with disabilities in church life and advocate for the disability community. I also believe in families’ strength and ability to thrive despite our many challenges. As a ‘Beyond Suffering (BYS)’ Course Instructor with the Joni & Friends Ministry (USA), a certified Personal Development Coach from the Coaching Academy (UK), and a Public Speaker, I am committed to promoting personal growth and empowerment.

Iā€™m blessed with three teenage daughters and married to an all-round gentleman. I love cooking, dancing, reading Christian fiction, watching historical movies and singing (though out of tune sometimes, a joyful noise to the Lord nonetheless šŸ˜Š).
