About Us

At OAKonsult, we empower families raising children with disabilities to live life abundantly—through practical support, inclusive training, and community‑led outreach.

WHO WE ARE

We Are a Charity Championing Disability Inclusion

Our Vision

We see families within the disability community empowered, flourishing, and living the dominion life victoriously as people made in the image of God.

Our Mission

OAKonsult has the mandate to empower Parent Carers and families within the disability community with biblical principles and truths that will enable them to find fulfilment in their journeys and to promote an inclusive culture in diverse settings where these families can flourish.

Our Creed

We believe in the sovereignty of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the affairs of man. We hold on to the promise of ‘life in abundance’ as in John 10:10b.

Our Values

Faith, Joy, Resilience, Kindness, Friendship.

Our history

OAKonsult is a charity born from love, loss, and unshakable hope. In 2010, Olufunke Adeloye’s world was rocked when their 18‑month‑old daughter, Abigail, suffered catastrophic brain damage due to a preventable medical error in Nigeria.

Faced with grim prognoses, the family uprooted their three young daughters and moved to the UK in search of life‑saving care.

For years they navigated hospital corridors, sleepless nights, and the crushing weight of uncertainty—yet Abigail kept defying every warning. With every milestone she achieved, the Adeloyes felt a stirring call: to transform their pain into purpose. In 2014, when Abigail was moved to palliative care, Olufunke asked, “How can no one else face this alone?” From that fierce love sprang OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach—a sanctuary of compassion, training, and practical support for families raising children with special needs.

Though Abigail passed into glory in 2024, her legacy of resilience and her name—“Can God be this great?”— live on in every family we serve.
