We support children and young people with disabilities, aged 0–25, and the parent carers who look after them. We work in the UK, in Nigeria and online.

Who we are
Olufunke and Ajisola Adeloye founded OAKonsult in 2021. Their daughter Abigail had complex medical needs and disabilities, and they knew how lonely caring can feel. They started OAKonsult so that other parent carers would have people beside them who understand.
Today we give parent carers training, peer support, wellbeing sessions and prayer. We train churches, schools and communities to include families affected by disability. In Nigeria, we run community-based rehabilitation and free medical outreach for children and young people with disabilities.

We see families within the disability community equipped, flourishing, and living the dominion life victoriously as people made in the image of God.
Our mission
OAKonsult has the mandate to equip parent carers and families within the disability community with biblical principles and truths that will help them find fulfilment in family life, and to promote an inclusive culture in diverse settings where these families can flourish.
Our creed
We believe in the sovereignty of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the affairs of man. We hold on to the promise of ‘life in abundance’ in John 10:10b.
Our values
Our five values are faith, joy, resilience, kindness and friendship. They guide how we treat every parent carer, child, volunteer and partner.
Everyone is welcome
Our Christian faith shapes how we work, but you do not need to share it to get support from us. If you care for a child or young person aged 0–25 with additional needs or disabilities, you are welcome, whatever your religion, culture or background.
Our story
In 2010, a preventable medical error in Nigeria left 18-month-old Abigail with a brain injury. Her family moved to the UK to get her the care she needed. Doctors warned she might not live long, but Abigail defied every prognosis.
Abigail died in October 2024, aged 16. Her life is the reason OAKonsult exists.
Our milestones
- 2021Olufunke and Ajisola Adeloye found OAKonsult, and it is registered as a charity in Nigeria.
- 2022Our inclusive church training starts in Nigeria.
- 2023We register as a charity in England and Wales and launch Project ME in Bromley.
- April 2025We break ground for OAK Centre Prime in Oolo Town, Ogbomoso.
- December 2025Project ME Online opens on our learning platform, free for parent carers.
- April 2026Our free medical outreach cares for more than 100 children and young people with disabilities.
- 25 September 2026The Bridge, our family support and early intervention centre, opens in Ogbomoso.

Our trustees, advisers, staff and volunteers work in the UK and Nigeria. Some of them are parent carers too.
